Well... the 3rd Annual Long Beach International Tattoo Festival was definitely all that it was made out to be. It was a huge three days of awesome art, cars, bikes, bands, and beautiful women. On the Queen Mary all three floors were buzzing with the sound of tattoo machines and people talking about their glistening new collection pieces. The quality of artwork at the festival was outstanding, but actually watching these artists working their craft was something else. It was very easy to just stand there and stare in amazement as these artists created perfect pieces every time. The bands on the boat added to the upbeat, high energy atmosphere and the burlesque performers definitely put a smile on everyone's faces. Speaking of smiling faces... did I mention that there was nude body painting in the boiler room? Wow... just wow.
Outside there was no shortage of things to see either. There were artists in the big tent tattooing alongside beautiful custom choppers and the bands were rocking out all day on the big stage next to some pimped out classic cars. There were also clothing booths everywhere plus a BBQ, taco stand, and full bar. If your legs just couldn't hold you up any longer the couches outside were perfect for slouching down in the sun with a Corona in hand and watching the crowd. Sounds rough, doesn't it?
